The 1980s was the most successful decade in Everton's history. With star players such as Graeme Sharp, Neville Southall and captain, Kevin Ratcliffe, Everton reached the FA Cup Final on 3 occasions in the 1980s, winning it in 1984. The following season Everton achieved the European Cup Winners Cup and League Championship double and won the League Championship again in 1986-87.
