Everton & Liverpool joint programme - Dixie Dean 60th goal match. Everton drew with Arsenal 3-3, with Dean (3) scoring the goals for Everton, in front of 48,715 spectators. This was the game in which William Ralph Dean (Dixie Dean) made history scoring his record breaking 60th league goal with only 8 minutes remaining in the game. Everton won the 1st Dvision in 1927-28 by 53 points, 2 points ahead of runners-up, Huddersfield Town.
