115 [Meeting of Directors held at Hotel St. George May 12th 1910.] Present D. Kirkwood Esq. Chair Messrs Bainbridge Clayton Davies Wade Whitford Wilson Young R. Mr. Bainbridge reported the interview of himself & the Secretary with the Chairman of Middlesbro F.C. re R. Young and it was resolved that a wire be sent to the Secretary who was in Sunderland authorising him to offer up to £1000 to Middlesbro for Young's transfer and failing getting him for that sum to go to £1200. Simpson & A telegram & letter from Falkirk that McTavish Simpson & McTavish were on offer was considered & it was resolved that up to £1200 be offered for Simpson.
