[Meeting of Directors held at Goodison
Park October 14th 1909.]
Present The Full Board.
Minutes The minutes of the last 2 meetings
were read & confirmed.
Davies The Secretary reported that Davies had
declined to become a professional.
Litherland An application for an increased grant
Vics. F. C. was declined.
Taylor D. The Secretary was instructed to go to
Scotland and ascertain if Motherwell
were prepared to transfer Taylor & if
so Messrs Bainbridge, Davies & Whitford
were deputed to see him play with
powers.
Webster The Secretary was instructed to go to
Leicester & obtain the transfer of Webster
for a month on trial, the fee, if suitable
not to exceed £250.
Dougherty Mr. Bainbridge & the Secretary reported
that hearing at the eleventh hour that
Dougherty had signed for Fulham, they
went to Motherwell v Kilmarnock match
D. Taylor at Kilmarnock & having seen Taylor
C. H. of Motherwell play recommend that
he be seen again.
