223 [Emergency Meeting of Directors held at Goodison Park, August 24 1909] Present D. Kirkwood Esq. Chair Messrs Davies Wade Whitford. The Directors viewed the progress of the alterations and decided that unless L'pool F. C. would lend us their ground it would be impossible to hold the proposed public practice game. The Secretary having wired to and obtained the consent of Mr. McKenna for the loan of L'pools ground it was decided to hold same at the day & hour arranged. Resolved that the front of the Bullens Road Stand and the inside hoarding around the field have an additional coat of paint - varnish to be incorporated. D. Kirkwood
