71 [Meeting of Directors held at Goodison Park Decr. 19th 1907.] Present G. Mahon Esq. Chair Messrs Bainbridge Clayton Davies Kelly Kirkwood Wade Whitford Wilson Minutes The minutes of last meeting & of the Subcommittee meetings were read & confirmed. Douglas Mr. Bainbridge reported the receipt of letter from Whitley eulogizing the play of Douglas at Chelsea last Saturday. Rylands The deputation reported their visit to & Bradley Failsworth, that Rylands was good but that the goalkeeper Bradley was very good; the Secretary reported that the Haslingden Club asked £250 for the pair. Resolved that Mr. Davies & the Secretary go to Haslingden on Saturday & if approved to negotiate for one or both Players. Christopher This Goalkeeper of Wilmots Athletic applied for a trial; that he had given a first class exhibition at practice & it was resolved to offer him an engagement
