The Secretary reported that the arrangement
between the Everton & L'pool Clubs was
a. That the club having three holiday
dates shall not have the opening Saturday
nor the opening League match at home.
b. That L'pool were experiencing great
difficulty in keeping Good Friday
for us, similar to our difficulty last
season in keeping Good Friday for
them & it was resolved to contribute
up to £25 towards solving the difficulty.
At this point the Secretary received a
telephonic communication from L'pool
that Notts Forest required more than
£50 to clear Good Friday & take Goose
Fair Thursday & to know if we would
increase our contribution & it was
resolved that as L'pool were not by
such proposal sacrificing one of their
holiday dates we could not increase
our offer.
Sods The Secretary reported that the sods
recently offered were at Heswall &
that the price was 4½ per square yard
we to pay carriage.
Resolved we do not accept.
