[Meeting of Directors held at Goodison Park
April 28th 1904.]
Present John Davies Esq. (Chair) Messrs Coates,
Baxter, Kelly, Kirkwood, Mahon, Whitford
& Wright.
Minutes The minutes of last two meetings and
of the Finance Meetings of 18th inst. & today
were read & confirmed.
O'Hagan Mr. Coates having brought forward his
motion, it was resolved that O'Hagan
be offered £2.10/- in summer & £3 in winter.
The Secretary reported that R. Balmer
had signed on at £2.10/- per week.
That Settle, Sharp, Abbott & Kitchen had
been promised a joint benefit in two good
League matches in the coming season (the
games to be with clubs in the first 10) one
match in October & the other in February
the selection to be submitted to them &
that the Gates be pooled, and good notice
be given to the players when dates are
selected : & that they had signed on.
Roberts The Secretary was instructed to offer
Roberts an engagement up to £2.10/- per
week all the year round.
The Secretary was instructed to inform
the F. A. of our unsuccessful efforts to
reengage Wolstenholme.
Lewis The Secretary reported his visit to
Birmingham & that Lewis refused to
give a trial, that no match was being
played by his club & it was decided
to do nothing further.
