By Secretary as to his visit to Newsham.
Williams To see the Hebburn Centre Williams but that
owing to the State of the weather & ground he was
unable to form an opinion of his abilities
but he reported favorably on the Hebburn
half backs & the matter was left in the hands
of Mr. Kirkwood & the Secretary.
E. Roberts The Sec. reported the receipt of wire from Chirk
accepting £25 for Robert's transfer, that the
player was not registered for Manchester City
& that he had signed him on at £2.10 per week
& his action was approved & a cheque for
£25 was ordered to be sent to Chirk F. C.
Saul Messrs Davies & Kirkwood reported their visit
to Burnley but that they considered that Saul
was not worthy of further consideration.
Accgton. Stanley Resolved that the doings of this team be
kept under observation.
H. Morley Dr. Whitford reports that the centre forward
did not impress him but that the centre half
of the team was a good player.
W Mr. Bainbridge reported his visit to Bury v
Sheffield United & that he saw Whitley, Rankin
& McMullen in Exchange Station under
circumstances which aroused his suspicion
as to their intentions for next season.
