Practice The Secretary read a letter of thanks from the
Matches. Hospital Saturday Fund for the use of the ground
for the Musical Festival : also an application
for the proceeds of the practice gates for their
fund & it was resolved that such proceeds
be divided equally between the Stanley
Hospital and the Hospital Saturday Fund
as last year.
Thorburn A letter from Motherwell F. C. asking price
of Thorburn's transfer was read & the Secretary
reported that he had replied saying that
we understood that the League had given
Thorburn a free transfer.
F. A. Enquiry The Secretary reported the attendance of
Booth & himself at London hereon yesterday
but that no decision was communicated.
He also reported a conversation with Mr.
Woolfall the F. A. Treasurer, the latter
explaining that owing to a mistake we had
received a sum from the F. A. for Cup tie
receipts some £11 odd in excess of that
we were entitled to but that we would
hear from the Secretary in due course.
Farmer The Secretary reported that the F. A. had
granted permission to play a match for
the benefit of the widow & children of the
late Geo. Farmer but that they could not
agree that this was a case for a grant
from the F. A. Benevolent Fund.
