Black The Secretary reported the receipt of a
telephone message from Mr. Kirkwood.
Hannen in Glasgow (a) that Black & Hannen
of Celtic (½ back & full back respectively).
Spiers could be had at a transfer fee of £400
that Black was well known to us & that
McPhee exhaustive enquiries gave Hannen the
reputation of being a class back: & (b)
that Spiers & McPhee of Maryhill could
be seen play on Saturday & urging that
some Director should go up it was
resolved @ that Mr. Kirkwood use
his best endeavours to secure Black
& Hannen or either & that Mr. Bainbridge
& Mr. Wade or the Secretary go up to
Scotland on Friday with full powers to
deal with either or both of these players
if satisfied. Mr. Kirkwood reported
Donaldson having engaged Donaldson
½ back.
