Scotland Mr. Kirkwood, with Lofthouse, were appointed
to visit Glasgow on Saturday to see two
players who had been recommended to us,
& they were empowered to engage the players
on best terms, if satisfied with their play.
Lancashire Mr. Clayton was appointed to represent the
Association Club at the annual meeting of the Lancashire
Association.
Lord Mayor's A letter was read from Mr. Jerrard, Hon. Sec.
Unemployed Fund of the fund, asking for the use of our ground
for the purpose of playing a Schoolboys
football match in aid of this fund, on
Saturday 27th inst. It was decided that
as we had 20 tons, about, of manure on
the ground it is quite impossible to
allow the ground to be used at present.
