August 11th 1903.]
Present Dr. Baxter (Chair) Messrs Coates, Davies,
Kelly, Kirkwood, Whitford & Wright.
Minutes The minutes of the last two meetings were
read and approved.
Hoarding The Secretary reported that the Ground
Committee had had an interview with the
Vicar & representatives of St. Lukes Church
& that the latter would consent to the removal
of our hoarding to the limit of our land provided
a deed reserving a rent to them were signed
but that the Ground Committee would not
recommend that that be done as it was felt
that the Club had power to do what was proposed
and it was thereupon resolved that a letter
be written intimating that if the church
authorities were prepared to construct their
proportion of the intended new street in the
immediate future the directors would construct
their portion at the same time, but if not they
proposed to extend their hoarding so as to
enclose the site of their portion of such intended
street with a view to the better protection of their
property.
Tram Service Resolved that Messrs Baxter, Davies & the
Secretary be appointed to act with the L'pool
F. C. as a deputation to the Tramways Manager
with a view to obtaining a better service of
trams on the occasion of our matches.
