Minute Book

[Meeting of Directors held at Goodison Park
July 7th 1903]

Present		Dr. Baxter in the chair, Messrs Clayton,
		Coates, Davies, Kirkwood, Whitford and
		Wright.

Minutes		The minutes of last meeting were read and
		confirmed except the last paragraph thereof
		upon which it was decided that a minute
		should be submitted to and approved by Mr.
		Clayton and Mr. Kirkwood.
		The minutes of the advertising joint committee
		of June 24th, 1903, of the ground committee of
		the 19th June, 1903 and July 6th 1903 were read &
		approved and confirmed.

F. J. Cox	The Secretary having reported that he had
		received Mr. Morton's guarantee for the payment
		of the arrears £56.14.9 & of the rent for the ensuing
		year but that Mr. Cox had not yet confirmed the
		terms, as he appeared to object to the rent of
		£ 130 and to the reservation of the right to affix
		our match bills on the inside erections, he was
		instructed to require from Mr. Cox an acceptance
		in writing of our terms failing Which the whole question
		would be reconsidered.

Interest	A cheque for £82.15.3 was ordered to be sent in
		payment of half years interest less tax due July 1st.

McDermott	The payment of £150 to Celtic FC was confirmed
		as was the payment of £2.0.0 to the office boy.

Kirkdale FC	The Secretary was instructed to give a donation of
League		£2.2.0 to Kirkdale FC and to pay the fine of
		£2.2.0 to the League.

Ashworth	The Secretary reported that Stoke had required
		an explanation, alleging that we had tampered
		with Ashworth, that I had replied denying same.
