[Meeting of Directors held at Bradford Hotel
June 23rd 1904]
Present G. Mahon Esq. (Chair) Messrs Baxter, Clayton,
Davies, Kirkwood, Whitford & Wright.
Minutes The minutes of last meeting were
read & confirmed.
The payment of loan of £44 to Whitley
was confirmed.
Hutchinson The engagement of Hutchinson at 50/-
per week with £10 bonus was confirmed.
Wolstenholme The Secretary was instructed to make
a further application for the transfer fee.
Advertising The Committee's recommendation that
& Programme the tender of Mr. A. E. Morton be accepted
was confirmed & the Secretary instructed
to prepare an agreement.
The Secretary was instructed to have
the players here on August 4.
Benefits After discussion the matches with
Aston Villa & Bury were set apart for
benefits, the Secretary to notify players.
Cox L'pool This matter having been mentioned the
Secretary was instructed to write L'pool
that the price (£500 & Murray) was excessive
& that unless same were modified we could
not deal.
Resolved that there be 2 Practice Matches
(public) the proceeds to the distributed
between Stanley Hospital & Saturday Fund.
The Secretary was instructed to pay £58.6.4
½ years interest less tax.
Resolved that we support the efforts being
made to alter the rule limiting the wage.
