[Meeting of Directors held at Goodison Park May 1st 1903] Present A. T. Coates Esq. (Chair) Messrs Bainbridge, Baxter, Clayton, Davies, Kelly, Kirkwood, & Wright. Corrin Dr. Baxter having reported on this player it was decided to give him an interview and after seeing Corrin it was resolved that he be engaged at £3 per week with a £10 bonus. Chadwick Resolved that these players be offered & Clark reengagement at last year wage. Brearley Resolved that this player be offered re- engagement at £3 per week with a promise of an increase to £4 on playing himself into the first team. Murray Mr. Bainbridge reported engaging Murray at 30/- in summer and £2 in winter with £5 for expenses & the engagement was confirmed. Simpson Mr. Clayton having further reported that he had not yet arranged terms with this player it was resolved that he be instructed to offer £2 in summer and £3 in winter. Henderson The engagement of this player at £4 per week was confirmed. The question of competition for the second team was postponed until the next meeting. Hardman Resolved that Mr. Kelly & the Secretary go to Blackpool & close the Hardman incident on the best terms possible up to playing a match at Blackpool in September.
