To Nottingham The Hon. Secretary was requested to accept the & Sheffield Midland Railway Co's offer to take the team 2nd & 4th Oct./02 to Nottingham on 2nd October, thence to Sheffield for 4 Oct. and thence to Liverpool, the fare to be 10/2 each with an extra charge of 30/- for saloon throughout. Gatemen Drs. Baxter and Whitford and Messrs Davies and Kelly were appointed a committee to interview gatemen as to their credentials etc. Jno. Russell Jno. Russell, centre halfback, of Rutherglen Glencairn. It was agreed that this player should be engaged on terms not exceeding Sheridan's viz:- 30/- in summer and 40/- per week in the playing season. W. H. Ball Mr. Clayton read a letter he had received from W. H. Ball, the old halfback, asking for an engagement, the Hon. Secretary was asking to reply regretting that we were not able to do so. W. Goldie's Benefit A letter dated 4th Sept. 1902 from Mr. Tom Watson was read thanking us for allowing our players to take part in W. Goldie's benefit and leaving us to fix the date. Messrs Clayton, Wright were asked to confer with Mr. Watson on this matter. H. F. Briggs A letter dated 5 Sept. 1902 from Mr. W. Hamar Testimonial was read asking us to send a donation to a match being played for the benefit of H. F. Briggs who was hurt some time ago
