Meeting of Directors held Monday August 8th 1892
Present G. Mahon Esq. (in the chair) Messrs Clayton, Davies, Baxter,
Griffiths, Atkinson & Leyland.
Minutes of two previous meetings read & Confirmed.
Groundsman Resolved that Geo. Howard be engaged as Groundsman
at a salary of 25/- per week.
Captain & Resolved that Mr. R. H. Howarth be elected Capn &
Sub Capns A. Latta Sub Capn of League team and
Mr. J. Elliott Capn of Combination team with
A. Chadwick as Sub Captain.
Rubber down Resolved that S. Orme be engaged @ 10/- per week.
Invitation to Resolved that an invitation to view the Ground
view Ground be sent out to all those taking our weekly posters
for the 25th August on the opening day.
Tenancy of office Resolved that we give notice to terminate our
tenancy of present office on March 1st 1893.
Press to away Resolved that a rep from the Courier, Post &
Matches Mercury have his expenses paid to all away
League matches & Cup Ties.
Opening of Ground Resolved that we accept Lord Kinnairds offer to
open the Ground on the 25th Inst & that we have
Professional Sports & fire Works on the Ground on
the occasion- Special Insurance to be made against
fire. Mr. Clayton & Sec to see Mr. Ramsbottom re terms.
