REFEREES		The Football League circular on Referees was
		considered, and the League suggestions for
		improvement were approved.

SOIL WARMING		A report by Mr. Sharp on the various methods
		suggested for protecting the Pitch from Snow & Ice was
		considered. It was agreed to further consider the
		possibility of re-installing the wining in the
		ground in the near future, unless some better method
		was discovered, and the Board expressed their
		appreciation to Mr. Sharp for his very full report.

WHITLEY BAY F. C.	Appeals from Whitley Bay F. C. & Hibernian F. C.
HIBERNIAN F. C.	Malta were considered and turned down.
	MALTA

NEW SEATING		It was agreed to proceed only with the new
	241	seating under Bullens Road.

GRAMMAR SCHOOLS		A request for the use of the ground on
SHIELD		March 25th was considered, and it was considered
	200	unlikely that the ground would be available in view
		of the present number of postponed matches.

SCOTTISH F. A.		A request for the release of Gabriel, Parker &
	239	Young for Feb. 4th was considered, and it was
		agreed they could not released on this occasion
		in view of F. A. Cup-tie postponements.

MALTA			It was agreed not to accept an offer to
		play a match in Malta next week.

BLACKPOOL F. C.		It was agreed not to support the decision
		of Blackpool F. C. in favour of a suggestion of
		Summer Football on Friday Wenings.

NEW BRIGHTON F. C.	An invitation to play a Floodlight
	232	friendly match at New Brighton was considered.
		It was agreed that this would not be possible.

RATING ASST.		It was reported that an assessment had
