Minutes of Meeting of May 16th were read
and confirmed.
FINANCE Receipts reported were:-
Season Ticket Sales to date 8085.12.0
Bank Balance £29,024.3.7 Dr.
It was reported that the meeting of Lancashire
Club's proposed had not taken place as Mr. Douglas of
Manchester City did not favour the proposal, and Mr.
T. V. Williams agreed with him.
TANSEY, J. It was reported that Tansey had been
14 transferred to Crewe A. for £500 and they had also
SHEPHERD, J. signed Shepherd for £150.0.0. Godfrey had been transferred
GODFREY, B. to Stanthorpe for £250.0.0. It was agreed to apply for
permission to pay accrued share of Benefits to Tansey
for £300.0.0, Shepherd of £150 and Godfrey of £250.0.0.
LAVERICK, R. It was reported that both Brighton & Hove A.
and Southend Utd. had offered £3000.0.0 plus £150.0.0
for accrued benefit for Laverick, and it was agreed
that Mr. Carey endeavour to get £3,500.0.0 failing
which the offer of £3150.0.0 be accepted.
KING, J. 41 It was reported that Tranmere Rovers were
BILLINGTON, S. interested in King at £4000.0.0 and probably
47 Billington in the region of £1000.0.0. It was agreed
that the minimum figures the manager be
authorised to accept for the players on the transfer
list at £1000 or over be as follows:- O'Neill £7,500.0.0,
King £4000.0.0, Shackleton £6000.0.0, Billington
£2000.0.0. Rea. - Best offer, and for the players listed
at £500.0.0 their accrued Benefit only.
