[Emergency Meeting held at Goodison Park
				Friday Dec. 4th 1959.]

Present:- Mr. F. Micklesfield (Chair) and all
other Directors except Mr. Askham who was unable
to attend. Manager & Secretary in attendance.

Mr. Micklesfield explained that the Meeting
GROUND had been called due to the serious condition of the
ground and asked Mr. Sharp to amplify on the
report that had been circulated to each Director.

Mr. Sharp reported that the trenching was
proving satisfactory so far, but it was a very
slow job, and an additional 6 Labours had been
engaged to speed up the work. A Polythene
Sheet 40 yds. x 12 yds. had been ordered at a cost
of approximately £30.0.0 as an experiment to
ascertain if it would be successful in keeping
the rain off a bad area. An experiment was
also being made with a small pump to try
and pump away excess water by digging sump
		holes in the waterlogged areas.
The measures taken up to now by the
		Ground Committee were approved.

Mr. Sharp listed his possible requirements as
		follows:-

		Further additional labour.
Overtime for our over Ground Staff.
One pump, if successful, at a cost of £80.0.0.
Polythene Sheet, if successful, to cover an area
of 72 yds. x 40 yds., to cost an extra £150.0.0.
These requirements were approved, plus any further
requirements, if the cost was not exclusive.

It was agreed to try and get the ground
		fit for play for tomorrow.

				Confirmed as correct.
