BAKER Mr. Micklesfield reported on the Meeting he
HIBS and Mr. Carey had with the Chairman of
24 Hibernian F. C. an offer had been made of
£45,000.0.0 for the transfer of Baker which
had been considered by their Board last night.
They had decided that the player was not for sale.
LAW Mr. Carey reported that he had been
HUDDERSFIELD. to see Law last Saturday at Middlesbrough.
24 An appointment had been made to meet the Chairman
and Manager of Huddersfield tomorrow and it was
agreed that Messrs F. Micklesfield, E. Holland Hughes
and J. Carey should represent the Club. Mr. Askham
proposed that the deputation be given powers to
negotiate up to £35,000.0.0 plus Thomas or
£40,000.0.0 for a straight cash deal, and
this was seconded by Mr. Joynson.
