29 [Emergency Meeting held at Goodison Park, Friday 18 Jan. 1957.] Present:- Mr. R. E. Searle (Chair) and all other Directors except Mr. Balmforth, Secretary in attendance. A discussion took place on the Team Selection team & team selection generally, and Mr. Nuttall reported that the selected Team would be available each Tuesday in future. It was resolved that Mr. Buchan be asked to explain to the Board his reasons for the Team selected to play on Saturday v Luton Town. After this had been given a unanimous vote of confidence in Mr. Buchan's Team selection was passed. It was agreed that Mr. Buchan present his teams personally each week, after the Board Meeting had closed, when any comments could be made. Confirmed as correct. R. E. Searle Chairman.
