			[Emergency Meeting held at Goodison Park
				Thursday 16th July 1959]

			Present:- Mr. F. Micklesfield (Chair) and all
		other Directors, Manager & Secretary in attendance.

			Mr. Micklesfield explained that he had
		called this Meeting to seed progress reports of
		the Maintenance Committee and of the Pitch
		Committee. He reported that Mr. E. Storey, the
		head groundsman had been away ill for 4
		weeks and the overseeding had been completed
		on July 9th.

GROUND			It was agreed that the Pitch
COMMITTEE	Committee should in future be referred to as the
289		Ground Committee, and would be responsible for
		the Playing Pitch, Soil Warming installation,
		the Practice Ground and Bellefield.

MAINTENANCE		The Maintenance Committee would be
COMMITTEE	responsible for re-making the Running Track
289		and drainage and the Painting of the wall.
			Mr. Sharp gave a report of the
		progress of the Playing Pitch renovations, and
		stated that the pitch seemed to be draining
		better than last year.

SHEPHERD J.		Mr. Carey reported that he had signed
		Jas Shepherd from Blackburn Rovers who had
		been given a free transfer. He was an inside
		forward or Wing-half, 5'10" in height 11.4 lbs
		age 20.

KEELEY J.		It was agreed to transfer J. Keeley to
222		Accrington Stanley for £1000.0.0, and to apply
		for permission to pay him a benefit of £500.0.0.

ASHWORTH A.		It was reported that Ashworth had
280		re-signed.

FLOODLIT		For the Floodlit Matches v Liverpool it was
