more congenial Tour could be arranged on better
financial terms.
SOUTHPORT F. C. Mr. Hughes reported his meeting with the
259 Chairman of Southport F. C. & the Vice Chairman,
which resulted in an offer of £1700 being made
for 27 Croftson Ave. It was agreed that this
offer be accepted, completion to take place on
May 24th.
H. E. WRIGHT It was agreed at the request of Mr. H. E.
245 Wright that he be granted an interview with
Mr. E. Holland Hughes.
PORTSMOUTH F. C. It was reported that the fixture v
Portsmouth had been brought forward from
April 22nd to April 15th.
LUTON TOWN A request from Luton Town for a
2.45 p.m. K. O. on Easter Monday to enable them to
get the 5.15 p.m. train home was granted.
SPORTS TURF A letter was read from the Sports Turf
RESEARCH INST. Research Institute in which they assumed that
our suggestion of their liability regarding the
state of the Pitch was now cancelled was not
agreed to, and it was agreed that Mr. Hughes
should draft a suitable reply.
SEMI-FINALS It was agreed that a letter signed by
the Chairman be sent to the F. A. protesting
against the large number of Semi-Finals
allocated to Sheffield Wed. since 1946.
