A. Penman It was reported that A. Penman had

who died during a match on Dec. 6th.
TOUR It was agreed to inform the F. A.
236 that we were prepared to be considered for
a Tour of Venezuela in May 1989.
MADRID It was reported that the F. A. would
not agree to the proposed match against a
combined team of Real Madrid and Athletics
on Jan. 14th and that efforts were being
made to arrange the match against one or
other of the teams. Directors to travel:- Messrs
F. Micklesfield, C. H. Askham, E. Holland Hughes
and R. A. Joynson.
PITCH Mr. Hughes gave a report of the Meeting

The independent mechanical analysis of samples
of the soil should marked differences from
these submitted by Mr. Escritt. Mr. Escritt had
stated that he thought the fault was in
the clinker ash although he could not be
definite as to the cause of the trouble. Some
of the clinker used was not according to
the specification, and soil was used when
wet and not dry as specified. He recommended
working the surface sand into the soil and
further trenching, together with replacement of
