[Emergency Meeting held at Goodison Park

E. Holland Hughes & R. A. Joynson, Messrs C. E.
Balmforth & J. Taylor were abroad & not able to attend.

DONOVAN. D. It was reported that Brighton & Hove
187 Albion were interested in Dorovan at £6,500.0.0.
HARBURN. (C. F.) in exchange for this Centre forward HARBURN
(BRIGHTON & HOVE) at £6,000.0.0. The Chairman stated that
Grimsby Town were interested in Donovan and
may be prepared to offer £10,000.0.0. for him,
but as their offer could not be ascertained
till later in the day it was agreed to
adjoin the meeting till then.
OVERDRAFT It was reported that the
FACILITIES Midland Bank were prepared to grant
165 temporary overdraft facilities up to £50,000.0.0
for a period of 6 months.
DOCHERTY. (R. H.) It was reported that Docherty had
(PRESTON. N. E.) been placed on the transfer list at his own
request, and it was agreed to make an
offer in writing of £15,000.0.0.
HICKSON An offer was considered from
187 Plymouth Argyle for Hickson of £4,000.0.0
down and a further £2,000.0.0 at the end
of the season providing Hickson does not
incur suspension. It was agreed to advice
Plymouth that we were prepared to accept
£6,000.0.0. without any reservation.
At this point the meeting adjoined till
