were read and confirmed.

ATHERTON. L. H. It was reported that Messrs F. Micklesfield
161 & J. Taylor did not watch Atherton last Sat.
(BURY) as he was playing out of position. It was
agreed that Mr. Micklesfield watch him on
Saturday if he was playing in his own
position.
GROUND RECONSTRUCTION It was reported that following an
inspection of the pitch by the Sports Turf
Research Institute they had recommended that
major reconstruction was necessary. It was
resolved that the work as detailed be carried
out and a start be made as soon as
possible, incorporating soil warming wires on
the pitch, as detailed by M.A.N.W.E.B.
MIDLAND BANK It was reported that the Midland
Bank had turned DOWN our application for an
