72 [Emergency Meeting held at Goodison Park Friday 24th May 1957] Present:- Mr. R. E. Searle (Chair) and all other Directors except Messrs E. Green, J. C. Sharp and C. E. Balmforth who tendered their apologies. Secretary in attendance. Daily Herald A discussion took place regarding an article by Mr. Ballard in today's Daily Herald in which it was stated that Stan Bentham & H. E. Wright had lost their jobs. The draft of a letter was approved and it was agreed that this be sent to the Editor in Manchester, and that as a matter of courtesy, a copy should be sent to the Editor in London.
