Shareholders It was reported that unruly boys
Stand gaining admission to the Shareholders Stand
were causing annoyance there, and it was
resolved that a copy of the attached draft
letter be sent to all Shareholders holding the
Self & Lady Season Tickets.
A letter was read from Garner,
Arden & Co., Solicitors to St. Lukes Church,
and this was referred to the Floodlighting
Sub-Committee.
Leyland H. K. Confirmation was given to the
269 transfer of Leyland to Blackburn Rovers at
a fee of £650.0.0, and it was agreed to
apply for permission to pay him accrued
share of Benefit amounting to £100.0.0.
It was reported that the operation
on Payne had been successful, and he
would resume training next week.
Hurley It was reported that a reply had
272. been received from Hurley of South Africa,
and he was not interested in coming to
England.
Loan It was resolved that appropriate
steps be taken to apply for permission to
raise a loan of Forty thousand pounds to
cover the cost of Floodlighting.
Trestles &c. It was agreed that Trestles and
Planks be purchased at a cost of £50.0.0
to facilitate the painting of the Steelwork on
the Gwladys St. Stand by our own Staff.
Mr. R. E. Searle The Board were very pleased to
learn that the Chairman was progressing
favourably and that he was due to
come home at the week-end.
