Tranmere Rovers Mr. T. C. Nuttall reported that Tranmere Rovers
had made offers for E. Wainwright & B. Molyneux
and that they were prepared to pay £600 and £250
respectively in two payments. £300 and £125
making a total £425 to be paid on the 1st Sept. '56
and a further £300 & £125 making a total of £425
to be paid on 1st Jan. 1957. It was agreed to
accept this offer & Mr. T. C. Nuttall and the Acting
Secretary were empowered to proceed with the
negotiations.
Complementary The Acting Secretary was instructed to supply each
Tickets Director with a comprehensive list of complementary
190 tickets issued, for future discussion by the Board.
Lighting of Stands It was agreed to accept the recommendation of the
Maintenance Sub Committee not to proceed with the
Lighting of the Stands, in conjunction with the floodlighting
scheme, this season as had been recommended by the
G. E. C.
Allocation of It was resolved that work appertaining to the
offices & Construction alteration of the offices & the construction of the
of Ladies Room Ladies Room now be placed in the hands of the
127 maintenance Sub Committee with power to act.
Alan Bentham A report on the method & conduct of the signing of
Alan Bentham the Liverpool & England Schoolboy
players for Liverpool F. C. was given. The Board deprecated such an
actions and it was decided that in the absence of a
satisfactory explanation pending enquiries, that the
Board will seriously contemplate withdrawing all
facilities of Goodison Park that had been previously
made available to Schoolboy football.
Next Meeting The date for the next meeting was left to the Chairman's discretion.
