		work could also be carried and by Messrs Henshaws
		on gutters etc.

Directors Box	Proposed alterations to the Director's Box were
		submitted & followup discussion & inspection it
		was agreed to proceed with the work.

Fixtures	Lists of next seasons fixtures were submitted, copies
		of which would be circulated to the Directors.

General		The appointment of a General Foreman for the
Foreman		Maintenance Staff was next discussed and it was
		decided to offer the post to Mr. J. Holding of S. Karslake,
		Road, Poulton, Wallasey at a wage of £12 per week.
		Mr. Holding would be in complete charge of all
		maintenance & the maintenance staff. The foregoing
		appointment was agreed to after the followup extract
		from a surveyor's report had been given to the board
		"The general condition of the properties indicates a
		lack of any sort of planned maintenance,
		particularly regarding small items of work. In this
		respect it seems that the existing maintenance
		organisation is not functioning as efficiently as
		it should. The present strength of the maintenance
		force is one joiner, one painter and two plumbers, and
		I understand from Mr. Dickinson that these men are
		under the direct control of the Head Groundsman.
		Whilst I was at the ground I witnessed no
		maintenance work taking place, presumably some
		of the maintenance men were engaged on general cleaning
		work. I feel that somebody should be appointed
		with a building trade background to act as Foreman
		of the maintenance work, to be directly responsible
		for all maintenance work of a day to day nature.
		It seems particularly important that one person
		should be held responsible for seeing that any works
