[SUB-COMMITTEE MEETING HELD AT GOODISON PARK
THURSDAY FEBRUARY 16TH 1956]
Present:- Mr. J. C. Sharp (Chair) and Messrs T. C. Nuttall
and C. E. Balmforth, together with the Secretary.
THE FOLLOWING RECOMMENDATIONS WERE MADE
Plumbing That confirmation be given to the action of the
Repairs. Manager in ordering repairs to damaged frozen
pipes during the recent frost and that Mr. Broad-
hurst of the Merseyside Plumbing CO., be asked
to meet the Committee at their next meeting.
Loud That an estimate be obtained for the provision
Speakers. of four additional speakers for the Bullens Road
Stand, following complaints of inability to hear
announcements clearly.
Printing. It was noted that owing to increase in wages and
paper the cost of printing our programmes would
be increased by 10%.
Flood That a suggestion be put forward to the General
Lighting. Electric Co., for the financing of the scheme
by them on the following lines. 25% deposit
of the total cost on completion and the balance
in equal payments over the next three years, or
earlier if possible. This recommendation to be
dependent upon the result of our application to
the Midland Bank Ltd.
Re-Rating. Mr. Isaac Dixon attended the meeting and suggested
that an appeal be made against the new assessment
but that this be held over until the Autumn. To
help build up a case he suggested that details of
maintenance over the past few years be made available
to him.
