[FLOODLIGHTING SUB-COMMITTEE MEETING HELD AT GOODISON PARK FRIDAY, 3RD FEBRUARY 1956] Present:- Mr. F. Micklesfield (Chair), & Messrs. J. C. Sharp, T. C. Nuttall & C. H. Askham, together with the Manager, Secretary & G. E. C. Officials. The Secretary reported that the Manager of the Midland Bank was anxious to approach his head office with a view to their financing this project and it was agreed that a meeting be arranged with members of the Finance Committee and the Secretary to discuss the matter with him. It was reported that the G. E. C. were prepared to finance the scheme on the basis of 10% deposit and the balance spread over two years with interest of 5½%, or would finance the cost of equipment only amounting to £6,000, for a longer period. The total cost of the whole scheme would be in the region of £28,000 to £29,000. It was agreed to recommend that the Consultant Engineer be employed to design the towers and foundations and to submit a plan to the Committee. The fee involved not to exceed One hundred and Fifty pounds if the scheme is not porceeded with. E. Green 7.2.56
