Youth Comp. It was reported that the 2nd
Round of this Competition would be
played at Bury on Oct. 29th at 11 a.m.
F. A. A letter was read from the F. A.
(FINE) 167 to the effect that the Committee had
considered our letter re Neill of Portsmouth
and there was no evidence that Portsmouth
had approached the boy. The correspondence
between ourselves and the F. A and Director
of education at Flintshire was read, in
CONNECTION WITH OUR SIGNING OF METCALFE.
It was agreed that the Chairman and
Manager draft a letter to the F. A. asking
for a clarification fo section 4 of Rule 38.
Eire F. A. It was agreed to release our Irish
141 players to for Eire on Oct. 19th if selected.
It was reported that Wainwright
was troubled with his stomach, and Lewis
had a ? muscle. Parker had
tonsilitis, but Grant was in training
and Jones may be fit to play.
Property An offer of £1800 was considered
167 for 23 Stanley Rd. and it was agreed to
ask for an offer in the region of £1900
and leave this in the hands of the
Chairman, Manager & Secretary.
