It was reported that Cummins &
Lewis had been selected to play in the
Central League side v the Champions on
Saturday next, Buckle & Lello were Reserves
and Leyfield had been appointed Trainer.
It was reported that Lindsay and
Donovan were doubtful for Saturday, but
Hickson was now fit. Wainwright had
complained about his ankle after last
Saturday game, and was to see the
specialist.
Correspondence A letter of thanks was read
from Marine F. C. for our Donation, and
it was reported that letters of appreciation
had been received from all the recipients
of donations from the Practice Match.
A request for the use of the ground
from the Liverpool Daily Post v Echo, for the
Final for a Cup presented by them to the
Liverpool Schoolboys was considered. This
was not viewed with favour, and it was
agreed to ascertain the views of Liverpool F. C.
as they had also been approached.
It was agreed to invite the Lord
Mayer and a Civic Delegation from Marseilles
to the Match v Notts County on Oct. 11th and
to fly the French Flag on this occasion.
A request from the League of
Friends, for permission to Broadcast
commentaries direct to Walton Hospital was
considered, and approval given to this request.
