188 [Meeting held Exchange Hotel, L'pool Tuesday 19th Aug. 1952.] Present:- Mr. E. Green (Chair) and all other Directors excepting Mr. Micklesfield who tendered his apologies, Manager & Secretary in attendance. Minutes of Meeting of Aug. 12th were read and confirmed. Finance Receipt reported was:- Gate Practice Match 725.12.6 Cheques were signed for:- Customs & Excise 48. 1.1 Wages 583. 8.1 Petty Cash 217. 5.7 Bank Balance £24,341.9.2 Dr. Tour 186 Mr. Garne attended the Meeting to put the full proposals before the Board for the proposed Tour to Greece. These included the payment of £1000 in England, an travel and 1st Class Hotel accommodation and the payment of £2 per day per person for 20 people for 4 games to be played in Athens. It was agreed that the Chairman, and Manager should see the Greek Consul before a decision was made. Managers Mr. Britton gave a report of the Report Practice Match, and it was noted that McNamara should be fit for Saturday, but Lewis was doubtful. Clayton had been fixed up with a job at Blokes. Pension The Chairman asked the Board to Scheme reconsider their decision in view of certain anomalies, and quoted figures in two cases. It was then agreed that last weeks decision
