It was reported that games was not
fit for Saturday, having been ordered a
further weeks rest.
Williams (L. H.) Mr. Britton said he was impressed with
Tranmere R. this player, and thought he would be a very
useful acquisition. It was agreed that he
approach Tranmere with a view to either an
exchange of players or a cash deal.
Brentford were reported to be interested
in Buckle, and had mentioned Greenwood C. H.
in connection with an exchange.
Vacancy It was reported that the
127. Shareholders Association had submitted the
name of Messrs C. E. Balmforth, J. Taylor
BALMFORTH C. E. and V. G. Winfield for consideration in
connection with the vacancy caused by
the death of Mr. Lake, and it was
resolved that Mr. C. E. Balmforth be co-opted
to fill that vacancy.
It was agreed to issue two Box
tickets for each match to Mrs. Lake for
the remainder of the Season.
Referees Assn. An invitation from the Referees
Conference Association, to act as hosts for the
Luncheon at their Annual Conference at
Southport was read, and a decision was
deferred pending further information.
Mr. H. R. Williams The Chairman reported that Mr. H. R.
Williams had tendered his resignation as a
Director of the Company, and this was
accepted with regret.
