Mr. Britton reported on events leading up to the
signing by Arsenal F. C. of Evans of Ellesmere Port,
and his withdrawal from the field, which met
with general approval. It was agreed that we have
an afternoon Kick-off for the Reserve game versus
Liverpool Res. on Jan 20th.
Admission Charges A letter from Birmingham City F. C. was read,
and it was noted that they had written to the
League Secretary Suggesting that the management
Committee might consider the advisability of
themselves proposing at the next A. G. M. that the
minimum price of admission to matches be altered
from 1/3d to 1/6d. Agreed that we support this
proposal, and advise the League Secretary accordingly.
H. R. Pickering It was agreed that this employees wage
be increased to £12 per week, such increase
to be retrospective from July 1st 1950.
England v Agreed that the ground be loaned for
Portugal this game on May 19th on the usual terms, and
that we suggest the following admission prices
members v Shareholders stands 10/- other stand
seats 5/-. Paddock 3/6. Ground 1/6.
Letter of Letter of thanks were read from the Lord
Thanks Mayor for our donation to the Lord Derby
Memorial Fund, and from Mrs. Parker for the
kindness shown in her bereavement.
Transfer of Shares Nod. 1995-1997 from Administers of
Shares A. C. Roberts to P. A. Roberts was approved.
