He was always ready for openings & bore an excellent character. Tranmere Players Messrs Gibbins & Coffey were very 295 268 impressed with Bainbridge & thought Wheeler & Keeran, W. Halves, were useful. Irish Players Mr. Searle gave good reports of Murphy, C. F. (Drumcondra) who was 18 & Durkan (G) & O'Reilly (L. B.) of Dundalk. He did not fancy the Goalkeeper of Drumcondra. O'Byrne (Shamrock Rovers) had a disagreement with his club & could be got for £200.
