			His trip to Scotland had been useless,
		but he hoped to see Brown of East Fife & he
		was given complete powers to deal, if he thought fit.
			He had released Corr or Farrell
		for Eire v Finland on Oct. 9th.
			Similarly, he had given Wales permission
		to play Jones or Powell on October 15 v England.
			His future policy might mean
		spending £60,000 on players, but we could
		recoup much of this.

Lord Mayor		Noted that L'pool F. C. & ourselves had

		Hall afternoon reception.

Stoke City F. C.	Dr. Baxter & Mr. Gibbins agreed to
	   0	attend, with their ladies, the reception to Sir
		Francis Josephs on October 18th, at Stoke (Town
		Hall.)

Old Age Pensioner	It was agreed that special facilities
	0	for our games could not be granted.
