Spruce 164 & Speed 161	Mr. W. R. Williams did not feel that either
(Wrexham)	of this players would be useful to us, although an
		eye might be kept on Speed's progress. R. H. Spruce was
		23, 5' 9½, wiry & well knit, but not speedy. L. H. Speed was the
		same age but 5' 7½". He was strong.

Douglas (H'pools)	He liked Douglas, a 20 year old I. F. who
		was very tough & Hughes who had proved a dominating
		C. H.

Managers Report		Mr. Britton gave his report of the matches.
		He stated that Wainwright was to have a week's rest,
		but that Sagar would be fit.

			Corr & Catterick had pulled muscles.
