Although his record was a good one, especially as a goal scorer, he could not recommend him on that showing. He was the least effective of the Arsenal line; seemed indifferent, & left the work to others. Mr. Tom Whittaker concurred-stated that Lewis was rather a problem & suggested we should see him away from home.
