He had everything in his favour physically & appeared to be a good clubman. Froggatt Mr. H. R. Williams was very impressed with this I. R. who was 23, & 5'10". He also liked Quigley, F. L. (Noted that Sheffield Wed'y would not part.) Carlisle players Sec'y was not very impressed by Horton but gave good reports on Twenty man (L. H.) 21 yrs. old & 5'10½"; & Broadis. Mr. Bretton had approached the last named without immediate success.
