MEETING SUB-COMMITTEE. THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 13th, 1947. REPORT. ASSISTANT TRAINERS. Agreed to recommend an increase of 10/- in the wages of W. Borthwickand, G. Thompson, making their weekly wages £6.10.0 and £5.10.0 respectively. PROFESSIONALS. Secretary suggested the raising of status of certain amateurs. It was agreed that the following offers be recommended:— T. E. JONES Full-time £7 and £6. G. RANKIN Part—time £3 per week. J. R. DUNROE do. do. D. GRIFFITHS do. do. AMPLIFIERS. Estimate of E.M.I. Sales and Service Ltd. to supply 48 Loudspeakers and the necessary equipment to suit our ground, similar to the system in operation at Arsenal F.C., was considered. The figure of approximately £1340 was thought to be reasonable for the work entailed, and it was agreed to recommend acceptance, subject to the Secretary visiting the Star Shirt Factory, and if the demonstration there appeared to have advantages, to obtain a figure from the firm responsible for the installation there. STAMP MACHINE. Agreed that the acquisition of a postal franking machine be recommended. The figure of cost would be a little over £50, and the machine would mean further modernisation of our office equipment, and a form of publicity. Cecil S. Baxter
