		MEETING SUB-COMMITTEE. THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 13th, 1947.

					REPORT.

		ASSISTANT TRAINERS.

Agreed to recommend an increase of 10/-
in the wages of W. Borthwickand, G. Thompson, making their
weekly wages £6.10.0 and £5.10.0 respectively.

		PROFESSIONALS.

Secretary suggested the raising of status of
certain amateurs. It was agreed that the following offers
		be recommended:—
				T. E. JONES Full-time £7 and £6.
				G. RANKIN Part—time £3 per week.
				J. R. DUNROE do.	do.
				D. GRIFFITHS do.	do.

		AMPLIFIERS.
Estimate of E.M.I. Sales and Service Ltd. to supply
48 Loudspeakers and the necessary equipment to suit our
ground, similar to the system in operation at Arsenal F.C.,
was considered. The figure of approximately £1340 was
thought to be reasonable for the work entailed, and it was
agreed to recommend acceptance, subject to the Secretary
visiting the Star Shirt Factory, and if the demonstration
there appeared to have advantages, to obtain a figure
from the firm responsible for the installation there.

		STAMP MACHINE.
Agreed that the acquisition of a postal franking
machine be recommended. The figure of cost would be a little
over £50, and the machine would mean further modernisation
of our office equipment, and a form of publicity.
