Green The Chairman referred to the absence through 0 illness of this Director, & Sec'y was instructed to write expressing the wishes of all that Mr. Green should feel able to return, speedily. Minutes Minutes of Meeting of 7th inst., were read & confirmed. Finance Receipts reported were:- Gate v Bolton Wands. £709. 5.6 Cheques were signed for:- Customs & Excise Tax £136.10.6 Theo Kelly Wages &c. £400. 0.0 Bank Balance £11,892.6.5. Cr. Woodcock (Bury) Mr. W. C. Gibbins re-affirmed his previous 39 opinion of this O. L. which was favorable. Freeman (Notts C.) Mr. H. R. Williams gave very good reports 33 of these players, respectively outsides-right. Both & Allen (P. V.) were 18. Freeman was 5'5", an apprentice-engineer, 34 with his paramount fault as a player, that he held the ball too long. Allen was 5'10". He was in the R. A. F. Martin (L. H.) Port Vale appeared to be a good player. Berry & Hassall Mr. W. Laine gave good reports of these 33 (Hull City) players who had played at L. H. & L. B. respectively. Pinchbeck (Scunthorpe) Mr. R. Bentham gave a very good report 0 of this C. F. who was 22, 6 ft. 13/7. Waddell & Rutherford Noted that we had no reply yet 35 37 to our letter on these players. Reports of J. Stein.
