Lake gave good reports of these Hull City backs, the former of whom had played at L. H., but who was the better proportion. He was 5'10", 20 or 21 yrs. of age, fast & a good header. Kirkman (Rochdale) Mr. J. C. Sharp did not fancy this F. B. Freeman (Notts. C.) Mr. H. R. Williams gave a good report of this O. R. who was 18 & 5'5" & slight, but thought he should be seen again when grounds were heavier. Gibson (Polkemmet) Noted that the player had signed for 25 Ipswich Town, irrespective of our offer to his club of £250, made through J. Stein.
