Contains minutes of general meetings, annual general meetings, emergency meetings. 24 Aug 1943 the Secretary reported having secured use of Orrell F.C.'s ground. 26 Apr 1943 the Royal Insurance Co. required repair work to Goodison Park before renewing the Club's insurance policy. 29 Feb 1944 it was agreed to contact the Football League for permission to pay players' benefits. 20 Jun 1944 the Secretary was asked to write to the Football League asking that football should come within the schedule of living performers for Entertainment Tax. 14 and 17 Oct 1944 it was agreed to admit wounded soldiers free to matches. 24 Oct 1944 the Board's resolutions regarding the Football League's A.G.M. are recorded. 5 Dec 1944 the Board's views on the Football League's Post-War Plans are recorded. 22 May 1945 it was reported that T. Lawton had requested a transfer. 21, 28 Aug, 4, 11, 25 Sep, 2, 16 Oct 1945 concerns were raised about the election of Directors at the A.G.M. in June. 25 Sep 1945 it was agreed to place T. Lawton on the transfer list. 23 Oct 1945 it was agreed to inform shareholders of the concerns relating to the election of Directors in June 1945. It was reported that the Club was to receive a gift of a football team outfit from Argentina. 27 Nov 1945 it was decided not to accede to the request of shareholders for a meeting to discuss the election of Directors in June 1945. 22 Jan 1946 William C. Cuff said he was willing to answer the Chairman's questions but not the Board's. 12 Mar 1946 the Board discussed the Burnden Park Tragedy at Bolton F.C. and its implications for Everton F.C. 19 Mar it was agreed to hold a collection for the Bolton Disaster Fund. 16 Apr 1946 it was agreed not to ask the F.A. to change their verdict in the so-called Mercer Case. 23 Apr and 28 May 1946 it was agreed to reply to a recent letter from W. C. Cuff and to distribute a copy to each shareholder. 14 May 1946 it was agreed in principle to install an electronic scoreboard and safety equipment. 9 Jul 1946 it was agreed to combine the sub-committees. 27 Aug 1946 typed Sub-Committee Reports begin to appear pasted into the minute book. It was agreed that the Secretary should meet Southport F.C. to discuss the fitness of their ex-player, R. Hodgkiss, at the time of his transfer to Everton F.C. 26 Nov 1946 Directors' expenses were agreed. It was agreed to put J. Mercer on transfer. 7 Jan 1947 it was agreed to adopt the Sub-Committee's recommendation of W. C. Cuff's suggestions regarding Directors' expenses. 11 Feb 1947 it was agreed to accept the sub-committee's recommendation that press pens be installed at each end of Goodison Road. 4 Mar 1947 it was decided not to put T. G. Jones on the transfer list and to prepare an official press statement to this effect. Minutes signed by W. C. Gibbins.
