10 [Meeting held at Goodison Park, L'pool Tuesday, Sept. 7, 1943.] Present :- Messrs W. C. Gibbins (Chair), E. Green, Dr. C. S. Baxter, G. Evans, W. R. Williams, R. R. Turnbull, R. E. Searle & Secy. Minutes of Meeting of the 24th August were read & confirmed. Lord Mayor of L'pool's Letter read from Liverpool F. C. suggesting that the £1,000 War Fund could be reached for the match on 21st Augt. by a grant of £38.11.4 from the Clubs & it was agreed that we donate £19.5.8. A. E. Higgins Secy. reported the signing on League Forms of this Amateur who had been training with Tranmere Rovers for 6 weeks; and his conversation with Mr. Trueman of that Club. {status ?} It was decided to leave this matter as it stood. H. J. Trantom Chairman reported that he & the Secy. had met this gentleman, & that arrangements had been made whereby a payment of £30 on account, was agreed. Directors to Manchester Messrs W. C. Gibbins, E. Green, G. Evans, 11th Sept. 1943 W. R. Williams & R. E. Searle. Secy. reported that he hoped to obtain the services of T. H. Leek, the English Amateur International. L'pool A. T. C. Owing to the date, Sat's, Sept. 25, none of the Directors were able to accept the invitation to attend the 2nd Annual Swimming Gala of this organization. Mr. Chas. Watson Secy. reported the ill health & resignation of the Secy. of the Irish F. A. & that he had written him on behalf of the Club.
